Actually, BuildClean was formed in 2007 initially in response to new scientific studies indicating that indoor use of some natural stones, such as certain granite countertops, may emanate radon and radiation at levels well in excess of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) -recommended limits. New Livng Partnered with BuildClean in 2010 because of their interest in healthy homes and to keep the BuildClean mission alive. Thus, New Living Health was formed.

New Living Health intends to support research, collaborate with existing organizations and agencies and, ultimately, to help provide information and possibly standards for healthy, safe indoor building materials. Why? Because few organizations are addressing this need presently.
